The ZenBook 3 has been announced in royal blue, rose gold and quartz grey colours. Describing ZenBook 3, Asus claimed it to be thinner than the MacBook Air and yet faster than the same. It is composed of the world’s thinnest fan at 3mm, and has an 82 percent screen to body ratio. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 panel and is said to have a 9-hour battery life that is clubbed with quick charging of around 60 percent charge in 49 minutes. It will be available in Royal Blue, Quartz Grey, Rose Gold colours, featuring a gold-backlit keyboard with some special key features.
The Zenbook 3 has scratch resistant Gorilla Glass 4 layered on the 12.5-inch full-HD display. The laptop employs top of the line Intel Core i7-7500U processor, 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM, a choice of 512GB PCIe M.2 SSD or 512GB SATA 3 M.2 SSD, Intel HD Graphics, and a 6-cell 40WHr battery with fast charging support. Just in case you were thinking that the internals was the only strong point of the Asus ZenBook 3 then you are wrong. Rather the design is one of the aspects where the Asus ZenBook 3 punches over its competition. The premium laptop that won the Best Choice Award this year sports an 11.9mm slim profile and weighs up at just 910g thanks to its aerospace grade alloy built. Incidentally the Asus ZenBook 3 sports only a single USB Type-C port to the side. Fortunately, the Taiwanese firm will be selling an Asus Universal Dock for their ZenBook 3 which in turn will come with a USB Type C 3.1, USB 3.0, HDMI, VGA, RJ45 Ethernet and a 3-in-1 SD card reader. That said it’s also worth mentioning that the Asus ZenBook 3 packs a Fingerprint Sensor integrated onto the touchpad to provide support for the all new Windows Hello feature. Besides, it comes with a backlit chiclet keyboard and a five Harman Kardon made speakers for the best in class audio performance.
